WELCOME TO RACHAEL DUPUIS!

Rachael is a registered massage therapist who has been practicing since June 2015 and is registered with the Massage Therapy Association of Manitoba. For the last two years, she has been working at Deezar Raval Physiotherapy, and truly thriving in the multidisciplinary environment, working with Physiotherapists (Deezar Raval Physio), as well as with Personal Trainers and a Holistic Nutritionist (North Star Fitness), all under one roof in Windsor Park.

In addition to being fluent in French and English, Rachael takes pride in her dedication to the treatment and improvement of soft tissue and joints of the body, and the improvement of the effects of mental and emotional stressors on the mind and nervous system. Each year, Rachael pursues continuing education to improve her knowledge in a variety of therapeutic massage techniques, and in the more recent couple of years, she has started to explore the healing benefits of yoga as a practice of strength, balance and flexibility of the body and mind. Through her education and explorations of yoga as both a treatment and lifestyle choice, she has deepened her knowledge of the connections between the mind and body, and her passion with helping people reach their health and wellness goals.

Rachael completed her first Yoga Teacher Training in 2022 (200Hr) , and then another in 2023 (50Hr) with Shell Andrea of Shell Andrea Yoga and Kirtan here in Winnipeg. Since her first step towards learning to practice and teach yoga, she has known that teaching yoga would be a part of her life and career, making an excellent complimentary practice to her career as a Massage Therapist. Working towards that dream of using both Yoga and Massage Therapy as tools in her toolbelt to continue to help people heal and live their best lives, she recently started teaching a yoga class at North Star Fitness. Her yoga classes have been created to be slow, supportive and therapeutic on many levels. With the use of the floor, wall and some props such as bolsters, pillows, blocks and belts, she has been focusing on deep stretches, long holds and gentle breathing practices to help with

mobility and flexibility of the joints as well as helping people heal through deep relaxation of the body and mind. Her Yoga Stretch and Recovery classes are great for those who want to add regular stretching and muscle recovery to their weekly health maintenance plans, for those healing from or managing a chronic injury, and those who would simply like to set aside an hour for quiet selfcare time for their bodies and minds. Classes are an hour each and held every Thursday at 12pm and 6pm at North Star Fitness in Windsor Park, and the first class is FREE TO TRY. She has truly been enjoying helping people in this way, and has even had the opportunity a few times to interconnect her yoga practice with massage to help people with certain injuries/conditions by really focusing both their massage treatment and our yoga practice to the treatment of their specific conditions/injury, and has had success with this way of treatment from 2 different angles to tackle the one issue. The more she explores this new way of helping people, the more she wants to have the opportunity to do things this way – She has been able to bring her treatments to a whole new level by adding this new knowledge/way of helping people to heal, which has brought her to a beautiful new chapter in her career as a holistic healer.
