PARKS

Island Shore Park-Located on Island Shore Boulevard

This park hosts a baseball diamond, soccer nets, playground and picnic shelter as well as plenty of green space to enjoy. It boarders the CPR Emerson Line and it’s not unusual to see deer crossing here into our neighborhood.

Lindsey Wilson Park-Main Entrance off Island Shore Boulevard next to the Community School

This park hosts walking paths through natural grassy areas and benches to sit and watch for birds and animals. The “back to nature” theme includes wild grasses and many smaller trees throughout the drainage swales. It also has plenty of green space for football, a baseball diamond, enclosed tennis courts and two basketball courts. In addition, there is a picnic shelter next to the Island Lakes splash pad. There is community parking available. The pathways connect Island Shore Boulevard to Island Lakes Drive along the lake and Dockside Way past the second basketball court.

Waterfront Park-Located on Waterfront Road

This park hosts walking paths with lake views as well as an updated play structure. There are benches and plenty of green space to enjoy. The pathway connects Waterfront Road to Desjardins Drive.

Seigneurie Park-Located off De la Seigneurie Boulevard

This park hosts walking paths through a large green space. It also houses the newly completed pathway connecting Island Lakes to Sage Creek Village Center. The other pathways in this park complete a circle to the play structure past multiple sets of soccer nets and connect De la Seigneurie Boulevard to Smugglers Cove. In addition, the park is the site for our annual winter Pop-Up Skating Rink!

Dockside Park-Located at Dockside Way and De la Seigneurie Boulevard

This park is a small green space offering a bench to sit and watch sunsets over the lake. It is located on De la Seigneurie Boulevard close to Dockside Way.

Island Lakes provides access to Winnipeg’s numerous Bike and Walking Paths including the Seine River Greenway’s Trail with Bois-des-Esprits.

The Lakes

The interconnected lakes are a great opportunity for canoeing and kayaking in the summer as well as bird watching. DO NOT SWIM in these lakes as it is not safe. Fishing is NOT ALLOWED. Each summer, the City of Winnipeg harvests Algae in the lakes to prevent overgrowth.

Island Lakes is serviced by #16 Selkirk-Osborne and #59 South St. Anne’s Express.
